As a non-profit organization, the Museum relies on the generosity of our members and guests to sustain our operations. With just under $100,000 in our fund balance we have only four years of operating cash flow remaining. The time is now. We must develop a better funding approach to ensure long-term sustainability of the Museum or we will be forced to close our doors – a path we feel is unacceptable.
To ensure our doors stay open, the losco County Historical Society has kicked off a Save Our Museum Campaign to raise $290,000 in endowed gifts over the next five years. With a restricted spending policy on these endowed gifts, this will give the Museum an annual income of $5,000 in its first year to nearly $20,000 in its fifth year. And, our future just got a whole lot brighter!
